A Case of Pendred`s Syndrome

Abstract

|
Pendred¢¥s syndrome is defined as triad; goiter, congenital perceptive hearing loss and an abnormal perchlorate discharge test. The case was a 41 year old man who had goiter and congenital deafmutism.
Eight years previously, goiter began to develop and grew slowly.
But patient had no other specific symptom such as palpitation, dyspnea, sweating and so forth.
Thyroid function test, audiogram prechlorate discharges test were performed and the result was compatible with Pendred¢¥s syndrome.
So we described this case and the relevant literature was reviewed.
